Festival Information

We are hosting the 2nd Annual Lady Filmmakers Film Festival promoting short & feature movies made by ladies. Films selected are considered entertaining to broad audiences and showcase the commercial viability of Lady Filmmakers. The festival will honor a strong and influential celebrity actress or filmmaker for her achievements in the industry. A portion of the selected films will bring social awareness to issues facing women today.

Mission Statement

Lady Filmmakers promotes films that have women in key positions. We foster the collaboration between men and women filmmakers. Films are selected for great storytelling and appeal to a broad audience. The three main categories of programming are the following:

* Each Submission will get a film page with their trailer, movie web site, and short filmmaker bios.

* Films selected will be put into the following program categories; all programs followed by Filmmaker Q&A.

- LADIES FIRST- Films in this category must be premiering at the Lady Filmmakers Film Festival. (US Premiere, Los Angeles, West Coast or World Premieres) Any genre.

- LADIES ILLUMINATE- Films that are socially aware. Any genre.

- LADIES KICK BUTT- Films that have an intrinsic entertainment value and/or portray strong female leads. Must appeal to a broad audience including men and a wide variety of ages. Any genre.
